
Reminder: All Library materials are due absolutely no later than Wednesday, May 29. Books that are not returned by that date will be marked lost and students will need to pay for replacement costs. Refunds for found materials will only be given during the school year in which they were lost. If you have paid for a book lost during the 2012-2013 school year and find it, you may receive a refund if it is returned before May 31, 2013.

English Summer Reading Requirements:

Congratulations to Team Possible or wining the Culinary Throwdown Challenge. The team consisted of Brianna Moore, Tina Ross, and Christina Boyd.The winning meal included: Baked Tilapia which won Best Entree', Swiss Cheese Potatoes, which won Best Side Dish and Chicken Spiral Salad. Jim Sutfin, Chad Meisgeier, Linda Poole and Rebecca Kleeman judged the competition.

March 2 was the Meet the Author Celebration hosted by the Metropolitan Reading Council. Tina Gradel is the current president and two Millard North students will be featured / recognized. One is Savannah French who wrote and illustrated Elephant Nose, which began as a school writing project. The other student is David Kreis who took 2nd Place in the council's writing contest this year for a short story he wrote in creative writing.
It was held at UNOs Straus Performing Arts Center. Savanna gave a talk about creating her book. David received a certificate for his 2nd place winning entry in the high school division.

Millard North led the state in the number of National Merit Semifinalists with 12!
National Merit Semifinalists are the highest scoring students based on the PSAT test. They represent the top 1% of Nebraska high school students.
