ACT/SAT Test Preparatory Classes

 

 College Prep Grammar:

Taught each quarter at Millard North High School for 9 weeks only. 

The student will analyze the elements addressed in the ACT English section only, identify and categorize the convention errors missed, and participate in classroom activities to establish strategies to improve his/her written communication skills.

2.5 credits of elective (not counted for English credit) offered each quarter

ACT / PSAT Review:

Sponsored by the Assistance League of Omaha and taught at Westside High School in Omaha

Instruction from experienced and certified instructors in:

ACT test taking and techniques

            All four-test sections (plus writing – optional)

$30 fee covers two nights of instruction 6:30-9:30 each night

$40 fee (if you choose test prep plus writing)

$15 fee for one night PSAT review

Baylor Test Prep

3MT (3 MOMS & A TEST)

ACT test preparation course that consists of three separate sessions (3 hours each), including general and verbal strategies, math strategies, and science reasoning. These sessions are held on selected days within the two weeks prior to the test date.

ACT Test Prep at Creighton University

Available Saturdays or Sundays for 4 sessions, four hours each

CU faculty led instruction

Covers all 4 sections of ACT

On-Line:  Gale’s Testing and Education Reference Center

Students must go to the MNHS library to obtain a user ID and password to gain access to Gale’s Testing and Education Reference Center.  With this program, students log on and register to take practice tests that will help them prepare for AP exams, the ACT, SAT and PSAT tests.  Civil Service Exams, Military Entrance Exams and more.  In addition, test preparation booklets can be accessed and even printed on-line.

 

On-Line:  Naviance Test Prep

Millard students have been given a registration code to have access to the test preparation materials on Naviance.  For help registering on Naviance, see your counselor.  There are two practice ACT tests available.


MNHS does not endorse any ACT or SAT preparation course except College Prep Grammar.  There is no guarantee that instruction will improve test scores.
